gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad-faad software package provides GStreamer faad plugin from the bad set, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad-faad
gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad-faad is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad-faad package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad-faad *
